Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee (in person)

They will discuss the budget for next year and the assessment method (how the budget is divided up among the four towns). They are expecting a representative from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to join them. According to Dr. Xi last week, DESE has recently informed the Regional School district that they must use the regional assessment method detailed in the regional agreement, and not this alternate method they have been using for the last several years. So, this meeting should provide more information on what’s next for the Regional School Budget. The School Committee has invited members of the Town Council, Finance Committee and town governments from Leverett. Shutesbury and Pelham to join as members of the audience.
