DESCRIPTION:Amherst School Committee will hold their annual ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS budget hearing on Thursday February 27th at 6:30 PM in the ARHS library.   \nThis budget hearing is the main opportunity for the public to weigh in on the Amherst Schools budget for next year. \n \n\n\n\nThe Elementary Schools budget contains $1\,561\,314 worth of reductions and impacts the following positions: (Budget Book Part 1\, Budget Book Part 2)\n\nThree Special Education Teacher positions (one at each of Crocker Farm\, Fort River and Wildwood) eliminated\nOne Special Education Reading Teacher position eliminated\nOne Building Blocks/AIMS Teacher position eliminated\nOne Crocker Farm Kindergarten Teacher position eliminated\nOne Wildwood General Education Teacher position eliminated\nOne Caminantes Paraeducator position eliminated\nOne ELL Paraeducator position eliminated\nOne Crocker Farm Kindergarten Paraeducator position eliminated\nAll specials/band/orchestra teachers reduced from full time to .9\n3.4 Central Office positions reduced/eliminated\n\n\n\n\n\n6:30 PM\nIn-Person Meeting and virtual at https://meet.google.com/fbb-fwur-odp\nLibrary at ARHS\nPublic comment can be emailed to SCpubliccomment@arps.org by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
